Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, has announced the implementation of a strict “no school fees, no exam” policy for the upcoming first semester examinations, set to begin on April 22, 2025. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, made the announcement during a pre-examination roadshow on the main campus in Port Harcourt on Thursday, aimed at sensitizing students about the policy.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Victor Akujuru, Prof. Zeb-Obipi urged students to pay their fees promptly and register their courses to ensure their names appear on the examination attendance sheets. He warned against diverting school fees to gambling or other activities, such as betting platforms like BetNaija, which could jeopardize their academic progress.
